1. Introduction
TheRealConnect ("we", "us", "our"), operated by Mumbai Property Exchange (MahaRERA A51800043517), Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, operates the therealconnect.in platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our platform. The policy version history is available on request.
1A. Who this policy covers
(a) Platform users — builders/developers and their staff who register accounts. (b) Channel partners — real estate agents whose professional information appears in our database. Channel partners are not Platform users; Section 2A below explains how we obtain, use, and let them control their information.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information
When you register as a builder, we collect your name, email address, phone number, company name, and GSTIN (if applicable).
2.2 Usage Data
We collect information about how you use the platform, including campaigns sent, messages delivered, search queries, and feature usage patterns.
2.3 WhatsApp Integration
When you use our WhatsApp campaign features, message content and delivery status are processed through Meta's WhatsApp Business API. We store message logs for your campaign tracking.
2A. Channel-Partner Data
Sources
We compile professional channel-partner information — name, business phone number, RERA registration number and validity, operating localities, and listing activity — from: (i) MahaRERA's public register of registered agents; (ii) publicly posted property listings, including listings shared in public/professional WhatsApp groups and on listing platforms; (iii) information channel partners provide to us directly. Every record carries a source tag.
Purpose & lawful basis
We process this information so that RERA-registered developers can contact channel partners about projects — a use consistent with the professional, publicly-shared purpose for which agents publish this information. Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, processing of personal data made publicly available by the data principal is exempt under Section 3(c)(ii); where data was not made public by the channel partner themselves, we rely on legitimate-use/consent frameworks and honour objection immediately.
What we do NOT do
We do not sell channel-partner data to third parties outside the Platform; we do not publish personal contact details openly (numbers are masked until a registered developer reveals them for legitimate outreach); we do not process any sensitive personal data.
Channel-partner rights
Any channel partner may, free of charge: (a) opt out of all communications sent via the Platform — reply STOP to any message, or use the opt-out page; opt-outs apply platform-wide across all developer accounts and are honoured immediately; (b) access or correct their record; (c) request erasure of their record, which we action within 30 days unless retention is legally required. 3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the platform, including AI-powered broker matching
- To process WhatsApp campaigns and track delivery
- To manage your token balance and billing
- To improve our AI scoring algorithms and broker database accuracy
- To send platform updates and support communications
- To detect, prevent, and address technical issues or abuse
4. Data Sharing & Processors
We license and distribute information within the Platform to registered users as part of the service; we do not sell personal data to third parties outside the Platform. Content you submit may be visible to other registered users as described in ToS Section 4; personal data is always handled per this policy, which prevails over the ToS for personal data.
We use the following data processors. We update this list when processors change.

5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), secure authentication, and access controls. Your data is stored on secured servers with regular backups.
5A. Breach Notification
In the event of a personal data breach we will notify the Data Protection Board of India and affected data principals as required by the DPDP Act, 2023, and will inform affected users without undue delay with the nature of the breach and mitigation steps.

We acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and resolve them within 30 days of receipt, in line with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 and the DPDP Act, 2023.
9. Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. No third-party advertising cookies are used.
10. Applicable Law
This policy is framed with reference to the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023; the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the IT (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011 (until superseded); and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date, and re-acceptance will be collected from Platform users where required.
